Senior Software Engineer

Location: Elizabeth, NJ

Summary/Objective:

The Senior Software Engineer drives the requirements gathering, design, development, and implementation of enterprise-level solutions to support business objectives. This position partners closely with business and IT stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, reliable, maintainable, high-impact solutions that improve operational efficiency, enable data-driven decision-making, and accelerate digital transformation. This position serves as a technical leader by promoting best practices and leading the development of solutions throughout the full SDLC.

Essential Functions and Projects:

Application Development & Integration

  • Design and develop solutions using:
    • Microsoft apps and tools: Power Automate, SharePoint, SQL Server, Azure Key Vault, SSRS, Copilot, and Copilot agents.
    • Software platforms, frameworks, and languages: GitHub, .NET, TypeScript, and Python.
    • Infor: Infor OS, M3, Velocity Suite, GenAI Assistant, H5, ION API, IDM, and BODs.
    • Salesforce: Salesforce platform, flows, TaskRay, and Agentforce.
  • Design and develop integrations with third-party applications and SaaS platforms.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Participate across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from ideation through support.

AI, Automation & Innovation

  • Identify, prioritize, and implement AI and automation use cases across business functions.
  • Develop and deploy tools leveraging platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, and other automation and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Establish innovation frameworks, governance, and best practices to scale emerging technologies.
  • Track value realization (ROI, productivity gains, process improvements).

Collaboration & Execution

  • Work closely with business and application teams to prioritize and deliver solutions based on ROI and urgency.
  • Lead team collaboration sessions to ensure rapid response to evolving business needs.
  • Ensure proper documentation, knowledge transfer, and support structures are in place.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of IT Innovation and Development experience.
  • Experience in the food industry or distribution preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of:
    • ERP systems (Infor M3 preferred)
    • Application development frameworks and integration technologies
    • Salesforce platform and ecosystem (TaskRay experience preferred)
    • AI, automation, and digital innovation tools
    • Agentic AI platform, development, governance
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and release management practices.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, result-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation while maintaining operational stability.
  • Strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support business operations.

Internal and External Contacts/Relationships:

  • Internal: Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with team members (including contractors), colleagues including office and field personnel, executive team, customers, and vendors.
  • External: Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with contractors, vendors, 3rd party providers, customers via sales contacts.
  • Treat all interactions with a customer service focus, striving to provide a high level of customer satisfaction.

Physical Requirements:

  • The individual must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to perform computer responsibilities.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • The employee must have use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; speak and hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to travel by car or public transportation as needed.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $125,000, plus bonus. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Our company will be relocating to a new corporate headquarters in Madison, NJ in Q1 of 2027. Candidates should be comfortable with this upcoming change in location.
